National jandal day for surf lifesavers

New Zealanders are being urged to show how they can handle the jandal next month on an appeal day for Surf Life Saving New Zealand.
Kiwis from all walks of life are being encouraged to don jandals on December 7 to support the nationwide street collection for the voluntary organisation.
Surf Life Saving spokesman Geoff Barry said it would be the first time the group had held a national fundraising day and hoped it would become an annual event.
"New Zealand has a drowning rate twice that per capita of Australia, so we need to be doing so much more like increasing public education, expanding our services to increase our beach access and meeting the demand for more equipment and training for our lifeguards."
The national Jandal Day is a joint initiative between Surf Life Saving New Zealand and wine range, Bach 22.

How do jandals relate to surf lifeguards?
Jandals probably relate to that cause people drown when swimming, people swim in summer and people wear jandals in summer
y' know how on the clustrmap there is two dots in the sea well on of them is actually on an island called Honolulu in the Hawallan islands

I was sick last night! On my birthday whaaaaaa!
when i was little i wanted to be a lifeguard, but not so much now...
anyway, we could check out honolulu at school tomorrow and see who is viewing our blog!

there are heaps of different views on global warming, one of them saying that kids are causing it!
global warming might make some places colder and some other places warmer by the ozone layer being stronger or weaker in some places.
wow i don't think that kids are the ones that are causing it!! because look at all the adults and teens who drive round in their car all day!!!!!!
I googled global warmimg and i found a website and this guy reckons global warming will cause WWIII in 2012!!!! What'd you think about that, eh? Here is the URL:

(and it's at the bottom of the first page), but with guyfawkes just been, it kinda gets you thinking that fireworks contribute. So if you think about it, we are contributing to global warming in a lot more ways than you think!

global warming might make some places colder and some other places warmer by the ozone layer being stronger or weaker in some places.maybe in some places skin cancer and stuff are more likley to occure. The sun also provides us with vitamin D.
But if you wear sunscreen, you are a lot less likely to get any of that stuff. There was once a lady who was on the beach in her togs with no sunscreen on, and she fell asleep in the sun, and when she woke up, she nearly died!
sunblock could only last a few hours and what if you're allergic to it like skipper bob?
im not skipper bob but i doubt that you'd be allergic to all the different types sunblock. But if you're allergic you could just go in the sun less, especially on the beach and other reflective places, and eat vitamin D.

yes, i agree with paperscissors..... you can also wear hats, those tog t-shirt things, and just keep resonabley well covered up, and all this still dosnt really stop you from having heaps and heaps of fun at the beach!
um, i think its frank...
and miss candy, aftr a few hours, just reapply the sunscreen!
i hate applying sunblock but when i think about how harmful the sun i can be i always apply it after 2 hours. apart from when i got sunburnt at the beach this weekend
ford boi is probably frank.
but wahat if you don't like sun block or you forget to reapply? but papper sissors what if your allergic to a certain thing in sun block that is in every sunblock?
how does global warming make the world colder. i think its getting warmer and this is why:
venus has an atmosphere which is out of carbon and something else. the air in venus is basicly carbon dioxide. venus is known to have something called the green house effect, isn't that what we are having. venus may have had life 500,000 million years ago. maybe humans lived in venus and had the same lifestyle!
