Room5ians are made of sunlight

Can you explain this seemingly odd statement?

How does it relate to our studies?

Describe the scientific concepts and processes we need to understand to be able to answer this question.

There are some web site links here for you to refer to to investigate the science behind our project.

Have fun!

1.Well im think it means that with know sunlight there wouldnt be life or oxygen for instints because the sun wouldnt be producing heat for plants and trees so it wouldn't be able to turn carbon dioxide into oxygen like usaul.
2.It is teching us scientific facts, and science, also photosynthesis, the life cycle etc.
3.i think i did that at the top.

Ashymashy said it all. :). School is fun.

I find that we are all made of sunlight is a very relevant topic to what we are doing, which is good. It is about sustainabilioty and so on, and, as Einstien said, everything is relevant.

Trees take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen, while heterotrophs (humans & animals) breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide. It just goes round and round and round!

Well, the sun gives the trees & plants 'radiant energy' which the plants turn into glucose & water. The glucose and water is either consumed (eaten or used) or compost/recycle by animals & humans. Though, I don't understand how on the picture it goes The sun, trees, energy then humans then back to the sun again. How does it go from humans to sunlight???

So pretty much, if the sun wasn't there, trees and plants would die, which would mean that there would be nothing for animals to eat. So they'd die too. And humans wouldn't have anything to eat if all animals were dead, so we'd die.

Maybe it shouldn't be 'We are all made of sunlight' it should be 'We wouldn't exist if it weren't for sunlight'.

Well, the first life forms that appeared on the face of the earth was just a slimy slithering bacterium. Eventually, the bacterium evolved to be photosynetic. After that, somehow dinosaurs evolved from that tiny bit of microscopic monster. The first humans appeared about... um... I think approximately 40million years after. (Correct me if I'm wrong)
So there, I've just explained my theory of 'sunlight into human' (If you call that a theory).

hi everyone. I watched this programme on tv 1 on friday or something and it showed this group of scientists who studied evolution and they were investigating and seeing is darwin's thery's were correct. They found bones and links to how life avolves. It was really cool and interesting.
bye=]

My theory to this statement(wow that sounds posh!)is that life was created by god and that in turn god created the sun to fuel life on earth so I actually think that we are all made by god not sunlight(but yes I agree the sun is very important for our existence)
P.S: log-on told me that heaps of scientists around the world are starting to believe that the world is going to end on 2012
P.P.S: I don't believe it
That is Gnome here and out

Hi Everybody!

Did you know that plants are not the only things that use photosynthesis, and are not the only things that are responsible for producing the worlds oxygen! Plankton, specificaly Phytoplankton do these two jobs as well, and actually produce half the worlds oxygen supplies! I watched something on the Discovery channel once that said that if we were to dump a few thousand tons of extremmly fine iron filings into the oceans, plankton populations would explode and they would produce so much extra oxygen that the world would somehow tip into another ice-age! Its all a delicate balance and we're all connected! The circle of life! Ha-ku-na-ma-ta-ta.

Wow! A very fine balance Mr A-Man! I've just got one word to say to you: extremely :o)
I'll leave it at that 8D
