blogging with style and readign with panache

the word panache needs an accent, but look it up.

i was very impressed with your literacy efforts today. the reader's theatre group were outstanding! so much better than i expected given the lack of experience.

the two literature circle groups were effective too. i think once you all hav emastered the technique of running your own literacy sessions you will be able to impress the restof the school with your talents. most importantly, you will be learning to self instruct, encourage each other, provide valid feedback in a positive manner and evaluate your own performance for improvement - a valuable skill in today's world and applicable to any situation.

well done troops!

also, some of you created incredibly impressive "word webs" today with all the literacy knowledge you displayed.

congratulations you marvellous things!

p.s. start compiling a list of things you have achieved this year on your personal blogs - things that you are proud of. also state your inquiry goals. note down what your intended products might be.

good idea Gman. how do we find your wiki, alpha? is there a link from your blog? wikis aren't so much for commenting as for contributing.

MrWoody said...

aha - you beat me to the punch - thanks for the link

i left a comment - nice to see you using a wiki but you'd be better off contributing to our class one to build up the info there.

hmmm:
one of the main things I feel I have accomplished on the blog this year is my writing and poetry...definitly my biggest accomplishment.
Followed by heaps of learning on facts followed by helping to share a positive image about the way to treat animals.
All this along with the plain joy of receiving and placing feedback on my/others work.
The class wiki is a brilliant source of information and facts on there are so COOL!!
The literacy things are ok though I perfer to have a class literacy discussion over the literacy circle which I am not a big fan of as you have to use certain roles so that limits your amount of imput.

for my inquiry project I plan to find out about roman and egyptian seasonal clothing and compare them followed by mixing there designes together and creating a new and improved robe.

I think room5 has been a lovely class and I really am looking forward to the rest of the year (just not the end!) PLEASE let us have a nice teacher !!!!!

Also one last thing.
Is miss Pellasin taking our Science Fairs to the place at the gardens or can we change and add things...
