Room5ians Rule! Mr Woody WAS their teacher. This is where they chat :-)
... and now that Mr Woody is pursuing other ventures, he gets to work with other schools too!
the perfection of every brush stroke.it looked like every picture was alive
great comment dan - i take it you are referring to the older works???
I LOVE the older paintings because:1)They didn't have cameras back then so that was the only thing you could do (apart from sketch/draw)2)It looks so realistic3)Its VERY hard to doand 4) It has a kind of way of seeming like a lot of different things all at onceIs that all you wanted Mr Woodles?P.S. I also like the modern art because its so simple, it's AMAZING!
oh yes my favourite picture was the random one weird looking people. reaally it was a governor
oh yes. the older work was very good.
oh yes, dan oh yes, thats oh yes, fantastic! But for this anyway i actually like both modern. Old is alright because the paintings are so realistic and i also noticed whist walking through that museum that practically all of the paintings included people. But mordern dosen't always neccessarrially (sorry i didnt know which ones were doubled so i did them all! Is that okay Mr woody?)include people or any object infact! The only thing it always has in it is EMOTION whether it is hard to identify or not. Some people may say modern, contenpory art is rubbish. But to be able to take emotion and put it into visual form is the only true artisitic thnig!
There was a very realistic painting which was the wedding one! There was a modern one called "running man", that was random! This guy was just running around on a video game. How is that art??????
Personally, I perfered the older work. Some people may say that it lacks things that modern art has, like emotion, but I quite like the subelty of it. I have to admit, I liked the sorrowful ones the best though...Urxan
i prefer new art it is a very good topic adn produces some very good artist and i think art isnt very good cause anyone can do it
wow !!! what amazing comments from you lot [- although maxiboy's one could do with a little editing. i'm not sure it makes sense]. well done for sharing all your thoughts.8>)

I liked the older paintings because they kinda were realistic and some of the newer art wasn't even art!
I like the older paintings better because it's so emotional and it so realistic. The modern art was random and i think it was more creative but not real art i think.
I liked the m0dern art best because im n0t really int0 the classical stuff and they freaked me 0ut because s0me 0f the pictures l00ked like they were m0ving 0r they were sad 0r dead and s0me even l00ked like they were z0mbies (the 0nes in the white dress's) s0 my 0pini0n is that the m0dern art was m0re 0f what i w0uld use as a dec0rati0n in my r00m and the lassical art is m0re 0f an art that sh0ul be decplayed.p.s sorry b0ut the ba spelling but im in a rush t0 let s0me 0ne 0n the c0mputer...gtg tata
Mr.Woody i think the art subject is very good but i dont really like art cause anyone can do it all they do is throw a couple of pottles on then wala anyway could you please read my new post and comment on mr.woodys space K thanksmax reporting from rm5 out
I loved the older paintings the most, they were so detailed, so, so, perfect. I expesially was interested in the one showing the funeral, on one side of the picture were all the rich children, along with the coffin of the rich child that had died, but all the rich children looked very unhealthy, very pale and grey. On the other side of the painting there were the poorer kids, they may have been dirty and a bit scruffy, but you could see the bright colour in there cheeks, they were oviously healthy. I just think its painting and drawing is a great way of expressing yourself or telling a story. I enjoyed the modern art as well but it was a bit too 'random' for me.
personally, i like both. i liked the old paintings because of how real they looked and i liked the modern art because it was so random. actually i think the modern art was the best, but that may just be because i live modern!
by the way, you need to post the spelling words! i can't see them!!!
yea mr woody i wanna go 2 bed in half an hour plz popst them!!!
i mean plz POST them!!! soz bout da spelling b4!!! lol
i dont actually 'get' modern art cuz there were a computer broken, a game of a person running, whole lot of tvs of some things on it...it's all random!!!
um this is not really on topic but where r the words mr woody
BTW. I also really liked the peice of mordern art that had the money machine, it had such great detail and texture, it looked really real, i felt that i could reach out my arm and actually use it, i wish that one day i will also be a great artist, like the artist of the great works of art we saw yeaterday.CANDYFLOSS ROX 4 EVA!!!!!P.S Mr Woody you know how you made the staffa cake the other day, you should make us one two!!! lol ;)
Did anyone see that random but cool older painting of that woman lying on those rocks, i loved it, it was strange but so beautifully painted with so much detail, she looked so real, as if i could reach out and touch her. I found some of the other older pictures quite moving, wereas the modern art didn't really affect me or move me in any way, what do you think?P.S do you guys think Mr Woody shopuld make us a cake for lunch?
i like the new ones as they would look better in your home as lots of new homes are modern ..
i arree with bobmarley
The modern art was random but funny too, but i wouldn't keep it in my house. for example that book of numbers with pages full of numbers, who would call that modern and it is not styly.modern art looks so simple to do, you could do 5min designing and by the end of the hour have it completed. from the art it was realy interesting to see what people called modern art.the olden days paintings are more artistic and the oil really looks nice, i would defintly in my house. they have more emotion especially the sad ones, but i think that people don't have grey skin like zombies. people then had a bad sense of fashion and the paintings told how people lived.i reckon people were reeeeaallly good at art because they didn't have any tools then to use.The trip was fun. The walking was a great ticket to chatter. The origami show kinda answered my question, how can origami be maths? Right now i'm trying to make an international peace carne and it's really easy.Bubbles!
I think I liked the old art better because it loooked so real and it had emotions in it and you almost felt as if you could talk to them, they looked like someone who was just trapped in a painting, and was still alive!I liked the ATM as well, but I thought it was a photo..... was it?well, I also liked the modern art because it was soo.. random, yes! random and I think if everything was organised, the world would be boring, so for me, random is good! But an interesting feature in that gallery is that there were old AND new paintings so you could compare them and spot the similarities and differences.but some people were horrified at some of those older paintings, but I mean if it was as hot as it was over there, YOu would walk around like that!bye,AIm
i liked the old art the best because it showed more life and some of the new paintings are just random. my favorite one was the funiral one because it showed that most of the rich people were sick and although the pore were a bit dirty they looked healthy. ash
MIKI! you ARE a great artist! Mr Woodles, I can prove that miki's great because she once drew this abstract art picture and I wanted to frame it and keep it, that's how good it was! anyway, I liked the tv's with all the same thing on them because it was....... I don't know...... so....... it's hard to explain. P.S. sorry if I was off topic! =(
what a marvellous array of opinions - you deserve a cake - i shall try to make my first one for you!8>)
Hiya, hmmm maybe that AMT was a photo? whoops! Mr Woody please come onto my blog, i've got some stuff about my speech that i want you to read, thanks!
I prefere old stile art because the new temporary art that we saw is to weird and is not what I would expect to find in an art gallery. I would probably expe t to find art on canvas and stuff not an animation of a running man!
I reckon that the old art was better as it showed emotion and feeling. I liked the sad ones more though, it was easy to see their emotions and expressions. Could I do art like that?
Lakelane - that pointless post counts as spam - $5 fine. everyone else who was on topic and said something interesting - well done 8>)
Sometimes the paintings literaly made two to three (notice alliteration!!!!) different pictures at once.
