i think that the date of easter changes every year because easter is always the day after the full moon so maybe every year the moon is full at different times meaning that easter is the day after?!

Maybe because the goverment want it too be at a specific time of that year????? "Not everyone can get off work on this date, so how about this?" It's compilcated.

I didn't know what to write, so I got this off http://answers.yahoo.com/question/. Originally Easter Sunday was always the day after passover day. That was was a date in the ancient Hebrew Calendar which is based on lunar months. Since then, Christianity and Judaism have changed their Calendars and the whole thing has become rather muddled.

It's supposed to be the first Sunday after the full moon after the spring equinox. In an attempt to make things easier to calculate, both the Eastern and Western strains of Christianity came up with different formulae so it's not always the same date as passover, and the Eastern easter is usually a week after the Western one

marshall - that is an excellent piece of information. well done!
you can copy the info from another site as long as you acknowledge where you got it from and maybe use your owns words. or you can cut n paste a quote in speech marks and again say where you got it.
