rules of our blog need to be discussed in class and agreed upon together. we must commit ourselves to sensible worthwhile blogging behaviour. it is for fun and learning but not for silly behaviour or attention seeking. we will need to use correct english, show respect to other bloggers and set a fine example fo rothers to be inspired by.
i am proud to be your new teacher - i hope we will enjoy our online learning adventure together.
:-)
please post ideas for blog rules and cybersafety ...

you guys are gonna be blogger pros by the end of the year :0}
I was just watching 60 minutes on tv and did you know that the blue fin tuna might become extinct because too many are being slaughtered for food especially in the Mediterranean and around Japan
(mmmmmmmn sushi)
I hope they don't go extinct. we've lost too many animals already :(
great comment primprim - you are the hope of the future with your awareness...now how can you act to make a difference?
thanks for contributing!
:-)
mmmm....ssssuuuuuusshsiiii
oh yea and recently hamilton has hatched its first tui fledgling!!! a fledgling is another name for a chick with feathers. this chick was the first to hatch and actually grow feathers in Hamilton for 100 years! It was raised at the hamilton gardens :)
now about the tuna :P
I don't think there is much we can do because tuna is a very reliable food source being called the
"king of sushi" and all that. apparently the Mediterranean fishermen say that they are trying to catch fewer fish every year and every year the fish they catch are getting smaller.
now I feel sorta guilty because I love to eat tuna (especially blue fin) :0P
byebye
oh yeah I also have a post about blue fin tuna on me blog so check it out if you can!
I LOVE SUSHI!!!!!! (it's my favorite food mmmmmmmmm......)
prim! that is wonderful news about the tui. i have heard and seen tui for the first time in hamilton this year [i've lived here for 40 years] at hamilton gardens, and the university [possibly the same bird?] i have also heard and seen grey warblers in hamilton east and fairfield - they've not been here before either. there is hope for our environment!
mojo - i should add at this point that although Prim's comment was very interesting, informative and exciting, we are meant to stay on topic with each post.
:-)
keep blogging
its all kind of like the whole "whale" issue; Tradition v extinction and human pleasure/"needs"/business v extinction. hmmmmmmm.... to be honest i dont really think that there i much we can do in the topic of the tuna without it not suiting everyone. i also think it could be a natural thing because it is part of the food web.
p.s. i have a new post on my info blog and a new poem on the poem one
so, no one has ideas about cybersafety then i take it...
:-/
ON TOPIC!
Thank you, Mr woody, for telling us the bog rules today, especially as a class.
One thing is, PrimPrim, the first rule was stay on topic. Tuna does not count as class rules for blog!
