brilliant summer!

its been great...unless you are a dehydrated, hungry sheep in a dried up paddock, or a half starving dairy cow, or the farmers who are trying to scratch out a living [in inappropriate environments i might add] you are probably loving th ehot dry non-windy NZ summer. swimming is so much more delicious when the sea is warm. the body surfing has been great! my poor wife has seen my manic face bearing down on her from the top of a Hahei wave many a time this summer, and caught me trying to sneak up from beneath her in the Whangamata estuary as the tide rips out. All great fun, although hot sleepless nights, millions of flies [i blame our new chooks for smelling irresistable] and a brutal, burning sun are the down side.
what do you former Room5ians think?
And are you out there Gwe Le?
:-)
but who dares sit in a sweltering February classroom this month???

Its been SO hot! I feel sorry for all the animals out there in the heat esspecially ones with LONG fur. We have heaps of flys to.....although that could be to do with the rats.....speaking of rats when do you want them Mr Woody????????? Oh well our pools nice and warm so thats good. Its sucks that we couldn't go to our beach though so instead we went to our bach and it was GREAT!!!
Im looking forward to seeing everyone again but Im not so sure about going back to another hard working year. Our uniforms arnt the greatest considering you feel far to hot in summer and far to cold in winter. Ah well Murpheys law.
Hope everyones had good holidays!!

what a great win!!! 22-17 against Samoa! but it was a tough game with the lead changing often. the Seven's star of the game was young player Victor Vito scoring two tries, including the winning one in extra time in the final minute. HURRAY!!!

well done girls - great to still have you on board. i would like to officially name you as blog advisors for the next generation of Room5ians. Can you suggest any other sensible bloggers to help? especially a boy if we can find one who will contribute regularly.

kittykat - the rats are most welcome back, but PLEASE not on the first day. it would freak out some of the parents i think.

And yes Room5ian - the 7's was great, although i missed the final by going to a movie and having to listen to idiots both sides of us talking the whole way through.

Hiya guys,
Well, think about he sheep, as Mr Woody said. We have biiiiiiiiig discucions about animal abuse and so forth, and this is mother natures way to torturing us for being so cruel. Sorry, Mother Earth!
