Educon 2.0

I like the sound of their principles for 21st Century Education...

The Axioms

Guiding Principles of EduCon 2.0:
1) Our schools must be inquiry-driven, thoughtful and empowering for all members
2) Our schools must be about co-creating -- together with our students -- the 21st Century Citizen
3) Technology must serve pedagogy, not the other way around.
4) Technology must enable students to research, create, communicate and collaborate
5) Learning can -- and must -- be networked.

Hey Mr Woody, thanks for the comment on our Blog. Yes we thought we better get our own name so we have changed it.

We would love to hook up and do a project together. We love ICT and think it is the future of learning. Currently we are playing around with Wikis, Skype and podcasting. I will drop you a line next year and see if you are keen on a project.

Thanks again, your Blog was the inspiration for us to start our own.

I think everybody has the right to have their education ICT intergrated, mainstream, GATE whatever.
P.S Do you know the Cathedral that is being built by Marion School. It was a 4 million dollar Cathedral built for Services, Religious Bookshop and many more things. It is called Blessed Virgin Mary.

I agree with you hamiltron everybody should have a chance to use I.C.T. not only gifted children because if we don't teach them important things like I.C.T. then who will?

HamilTRON said...

Adding to gnome's comment. I think that if they don't learn ICT skills now they will not have the knowledge later on down the track. Knowing that we are growing up and being influenced by a ICT sabby 21st century.

Just a question. Do you think that we humans will rely more on ICT then our minds (Knowledge)??? I mean for like research and basic things.

Tron and Radioactive - you can't use computers or ICT or the internet effectively without using your brains - that's the point
