podcasting again

Aha! We are going to get to do podcasting finally - Jenny from Sitech is going to help us with some 'stuff' and Mrs McCullagh has found us these instructions:

http://www.apple.com/support/garageband/podcasts/recording/

All of a sudden it seems possible. Now we just have to decide on the content and format of our podcasts.

Shall we do news reports? [probably not appropriate as they are too quickly out of date]

Promos for Hamilton for our inquiry unit?

Book reviews?

Oral myths relating to the Waikato or other natural phenomena important to us?

We will need to include musical jingles, have a name for our podcast, and follow a format that we can use each time.

We should make the jingle on garageband,as I'm sure someone would be willing to use their creative and interesting ideas!

I also think maybe we could talk a little about what is coming up and then what the results were about things happening in our school.

Or, we could do a documentary on "the life of an intermediate student" I mean who knows, it could be really fun to hear how different peoples perspectives on things are!

I think it's great that we have gone back and followed through on this as I think it will be a most interesting thing to do to see if people actually do anything with it and come up with some fantabulastical ideas!

See you at school tomorrow,

Aim

wowza! go and get your parents and show them what you have written. tell them i think it is excellent. your ideas are clearly and maturely stated, as well as interesting.
garageband jingle for sure.
discussions will behld, but i think they won't be useful for podcasting at this stage. simply not relevant to a wider audience. we need to consider who our audience are when we think of products.
your documentary idea is cracker! perhaps it could be a piece designed to advise new intermediate students what to expect and to help them get over their fears.
wow! top of the class!

Thanks for your feedback!

This was only an idea of course so it will need other people to contribute adn add their ideas also.

The additional idea to the documentary one is fantabulastical becaue I kniow that personally as a new person at peachgrove, going o intermediate was a big step, and quite scary!

Wat is a mp4??!?!?!?!?! Is it like a ipod video...?

i am glad you are enthusiastic - now start posting ideas for what we could record for podcasting. the content and how well we do it are more important than the gadgets. always remember that.

laffydaffy said...

No luck, the podcast takes ages to downlod so yeah, um who is going to be the first ones to podcast????????????

let dedicate our whole term to podcasting - the topic and th ebehind th escenes work are crucial - we must analyse successful old radio format shows and copy their pattern. our content must be top notch - the podcasting is only tools and a medium - we have to make the magic ourselves.
you can do it.

i reckon that mysteriosu cat gang that is in th eclass might be first to podcast something. i can recommend good engineers to run the technology.
i can suggest willing expert mentors.
i can provide the software - but you kids have to do the work to get the results. that point england stuff works because it is quality writing and planning and researching and so forth.
learn from the experts

I'm soooooooooooooooo excited because i listened to my first podcast ever!!!!!! and i've got some tips. I listened to MuggleCast (Harry Potter news, the latest) and i've got tips just listening to it.

1. We should have backgtround music all the time.

2. We need to speak clearly so people can hear us properly.

3. make it short because mugglecast is really and you get bored easily.

Can't wait to start mr. Woody!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm soooooooooo excited.
