Easter

Hello Room5ians - since I'm not a religious person, Easter for me has been about spending time with family and friends. The highlight has been visiting my beloved grandparents, Gwen and Claude Tucker, who are 87 and 91 respectively. Sasha and I filmed them with a handycam so we could make a digital story about the visit. They both told us stories and made us laugh with their amusing banter. Silly me - I forgot to take digital pictures because I was filming. D'oh!

I hope you have lovely grandparents to enjoy too.

Right now I am trying to work out how to post to blogger from my mobile phone. So don't be surprised if some odd seeming posts appear. See you on Wednesday!

:-)

Yes, I do have lovely Grandparents, my Nana has just come up from lower hutt to spend easter with us! I loooove easter, its a great time to relax(sleep in lots), enjoy(Chocolate eggs and hot cross buns) and celebrate (Christs resurection). I have especially enjoyed this easter, as it is not in the holidays and we get a 5 day weekend rather than having it in the holidays!!!
I LOVE EASTER EGGS!!! And Easter bunniees too!!

Happy Easter to all! Just out of curiosity, what are hot cross buns (I have heard the name before, but don't know what they are) and pods? Unlike Snow Girl, I love chocholate!

I've looked at your mobile blogging. It looks pretty cool. Mr Woody will have to send me an e-mail and tell me what it is and how he is using it in your class.

I hope everyone enjoys their break from school (it looks like you are all off until Wednesday). We don't come back until Monday, March 31st.

Finally, thanks to the New Zealand teacher that posted the compliment on the blog about what our tow schools are doing.

Wow, you have never had a hot cross bun before. It is basicly a sweet bun with hard iceing stuff on the top in the shape of a cross. They are filled with fruit but some times the kids over here dont like the fruit in them so there are ones with no fruit in them.

Here is some pictures of them ...

that picture was of four
but this one is only of one

And the hot cross buns have special herbs in them (but I can't remember what it symbolises...)

I got a Easter egg with nine Chupa Chups!! We also had two Easter egg hunts, so we got LOTS of chocolate!!!

My little brother ate everything he had (including the Chupa Chups) on Easter Sunday! And then, on Easter Monday, we got one of those 'Nothing but Chocolate' Easter eggs from a friend, and he ate all of that too! He got very grumpy though, afterwards, which was probably all the chocolate.

Also, we went to Taumarunui for Easter, to see my Nana and Grandad.

Great to hear about your families, kidlets. Enjoy them!

Mr Teehan, thanks for your posts. Was the complimentary teacher from Peachgrove or somewhere else?

Kitty Milo said...

I am super-lucky - I have seven grandparents!
This easter, I was with my mum, so as well as eating chocolate and getting fruit-highs (my speciality), mum (tried to tell us) told us the story of Jesus. I'll put it on my Me, myself and I blog, if anyone is interested.

I have a little sister like Mdupies bro. She is REALLY grumpy, and only have one easter egg (but shes always grumpy).

Love chocolate.

Every easter holiday I go to one of my favorite places.

Did you know that the last time easter was this early was 1913 and won't be this early again until 2156 I think if I can remember right.

mr teehan, pods are a kind of crunchy biscuit with this caramel stuff inside and on the top a little bit of chocolate.
you can look on this website to see them and it has stuff about them! they are NOT very healthy though
