For those of you who do find maths interesting and are looking for a challenge, see these sites. there is one on Leonardo daVinci's works also. I think we will look at it in class, so if you want to get a head start....

if you find interesting sites with activities you would like to do in class post them on the blog. pick a topic, get your search terms right and 'google' it!

Hey Mr Woody!!! I don't think that many people are interested in that kind of thing. (ha ha ha) But, even though I hate maths, I'll give it a go, just so that you don't feel stink that no one is interested!!

can anyone tell me about maths games, topics or activities that they've really enjoyed in the past?
i think maths is a great subject and one which can be very satisfying. i actually feel a little robbed that i didn't "get into it" when i was at school. i foolishly convinced myself that i was no good at it then tried to avoid failure by avoiding maths. in the end, i missed out on something interesting. much of the universe can be explained in some way through mathematical theory. it is also very useful for many different subjects at university. you often need to understand statistics, for example.
give it a chance!
