Good LUck sportos!

Good luck sporty types who are leaving us this week for AIMS. I am especially impressed with those of you who have been 'digging it in' with extra training for cross country.
these days adults tend to view kids as more lazy and less active and more poorly fed than previous generations - we all ran to school, ate nothing but fresh vegetables, worked for our pocket money and respected our elders - in short, we were paragons of virtue.
I wonder if any of you other than the AIMS kids do any physical activity or cool non-technology- based hobbies in your own time. and how well do you eat? and do you work for pocket money? Please fill me in....

good luck AIMS, try your best, don't give up and represent peachgrove well!!!!! :)

I'm mixed, like my parents is a bit concerned about my health so we weet-bix in the morning, fruit for lunch etc, etc. I have a MSN and e-mail. I draw, read and write heaps oh yeah and make stuff. I make games for my siblings and they find it fun. I play manhunt, tiggy, bullrush, runlaps and go to the park, oh yeah and housework. I don't get poket money, I just do jobs for my family.

I agree with Mr Woody when he said that our generation is more obesise than your generation because you didn't have compuetrs, playstation or TV and so you were always playing outside so you didn't die of boredom, but nowadays there are heaps of stuff to do so we that more than playing outside.

Bubbles!

I love making huts too, my siblings would pretend were are camping out in the woods and there were lions and stuff and we would hunt them. I agrre with ash about the how you get bored even with this tech we've got.

I do karate and run around a lot at home. I also have a gully at our place that I sometimes go into. I have to clean my room every week and empty the dishwasher every day. (my room is a pigsty so it's really hard to clean!) My dad and I want to be chefs so we are good at cooking and we grow most of our own vegetables. I like doing a lot of other stuff as well, like swimming and stuff like that. We hardly ever get sweets and stuff like that, I only get some if my friends are around. But I play on MY computer HEAPS of times and go on the internet because I can. So I'm not perfect.

Gee, thaks for your support on AIMS guys!

Well, I love to run and sorta just do my own thing outside! I used to go on our trampoline HEAPS, until it broke. I grew up on that thing, but last weekend we finally chucked it out. BOO HOO!
Apart from that I muck around with, soccer balls, netballs(although it would be better doing this if we had a netball hoop Wink wink, nudge nudge), tennis balls, bouncy balls, and basically just do what I feel like doing.

Although they do help us learn, computers are advertised poorly, and made out as the bad guys/girls!
I do like to go on the computer, but outside is fresher, healthier, and better for you.
Outside you have to use your imagination a lot, but inside sitting stuffily on the computer chair is only giving your hands exercise, and a little of your arms.

YOU decide, would you rather be healthy and fit, or sick and lazy?
