look up mentor in the dictionary if you don't know what it means - I propose to find each of you a mentor in an area of passion for you in term 4. It may not work but it's worth a try so you can pursue you rintersts with a career focus in mind. It may help you to make choices for subjects when you reach high school and university.

umm... lots of things on my mind... author?artist?designer?prime ministor? have a job like my dad? i seroisly don't know
Great ideas, kidlets. The next step is to consider what you need to learn to do those 'jobs'. In this way, you can start to plan your high school subjects with a purpose in mind.
For example, if you wanted to be an architect, you would need to be good at maths, draughting, designing, etc.
If you wanted to run your own business you would need to be good at maths, maybe do economics, accounting, etc.
Doctors and vets need to be excellent academic achievers who have strengths in science.
Lawyers and politicians need to have excellent language skills.
