What would you plant?

What would you plant if you had permission to use the greenhouse and could start tomorrow?
What would you need?
What would you do with it once it grew?
Ask your parents what types of plants they would be interested in receiving from school.

[oh, and make sure you're getting lots of sponsors for spellathon!]

p, e, r, m, a, c, u, l, t, u, r, e spells "permaculture"!

Nice choice, Ashymashy, but will they grow in Winter?
Keep getting sponsors. Add "sponsor" to your spelling list, along with "strawberries" and "they're".
Will you be at school tomorrow?

Mum said she would like Lettuce, cucumber, pepper, broccoli, potatoes and carrots the most! A lot!

On my blog I've got how to grow carrots and tips and stuff.

Yes ashy mashy! I'd love to grow strawberries too! (Too bad they wouldn't grow to well if we planted them tomorrow!!)

I would want herbs - Basil, Paresley, (already have the rowemary!) and thyme. They are so good for cookng, but taste like cowpat by themselves (my opinion).
If the herbs are like eachother, I have been advised to keep the herbs in the greenhouse, and I think we should keep them in pots so they are transportable, and we could have them making our room smell nice. :-)
I have asked my Dad and he says 'depends on the weather.' You may be interested to know this is the man who says he knows everything and he has a lot of exprerience. Maybe I shoudl ask him after the sports news finishes.
So, because I say in the greenhosue, that means we would water them 3-5 times a week.

We would need-
Pots
Soil
Sand
Gravel
Watering can
WATER
Shovel
Compost

There! Now we can have lots of nice herbs for our beef!

Well are we going to grow just winter vege or summer vege or both? We could grow tomatoes they like hot greenhouses.

mojo, the point is we need to ask some experts and experiment to find out what will grow at this time of year.

Hope you don't mind me doing a bit of cut & pasting Mr Woody.

Greenhouse Plants -
What grows in a greenhouse and what grows outside depends on your climate and the purpose of your greenhouse. The National Orchid Garden in Singapore has an air conditioned greenhouse for mountain orchids and other cool weather orchids that would not survive in this tropical climate. All those orchids we greenhouse in the North were planted in the ground and some as big as trees! In southern Florida, screen rooms are more common than greenhouses to protect the plants from the hot sun, insects and birds.

In cold climates, greenhouses typically protect plants from frost or freeze.
- The plants featured here are a few that we've grown successfully and are listed in Alphabetical order.

Plants I think is suitable for the Greenhouse:
-coriander
-rhubarbs
-tomatoes
-beetroots
-radishes
-onions

And there's a lot more...
Only some of them are avalible during the winter... which is surprising.
