WOW! What a great field trip. We did so much. You Room5ians were excellent!!! The best group I've ever taken on a field trip in 8 yrs.
Please state here what you did, where you went, why you did it all, who you met, what you are going to do next and all the cool ideas you have for enhancing parts of Hamiltron, City of the Future.
Yeeehah! What great learning!

what we did:we walked around hamilton talking photos of hamilton.we also took footage of people we met at different places we went.
where we went: we went to the library, museum, we walked past the meteor , hood street and we went into garden place. we took photos of bridges and protected trees and rotundas and the waipa delta and the rangiriri paddle steamer.
why we did it all: we did it all because in our class we are doing a hamiltON progect on a personal story about hamilton. some people are doing to much graffiti some are promoting the hamilton gardens some are promoting the v8's and so on. so why we did it was so we could take photos of around hamilton to help us with doing our hamilton story and also so we could talk to the museum and the library to tell them both how they could improve the museum and the library and asking them questions about the library.
who we met:
we met the 3 most important people from the museum, we met a lady from the library and me met agent s AND thanks to her we got on tv3!
it was an awesome walk and it was really interesting going everywhere we went and i hope we can do it again!
thanks
bye
:-)
well we um walked and we went to places such as...
museum
library
town...
We went into the centre of Hamilton to go to the meseum which had an exhibit on "the might river Waikato", garden place, memorial park, Claudelands bridge, the library by garden place (garden place is kind of in the centre of the city With the city Council right next to it)and more. We did it to take pictures of iconic sites and to learn more about Hamiltons history and future. We met the museum director & co, Agent S and the library director.
Now I'll let the rest of the class have a chance to comment about it.
P.S please come to my blog if you want to more know about global warming!

I felt a little... peeved, I should say, that people photoed the same graffiti over and over. I am doing Graffiti too, andwhen I photoed something, whoomph! All the other graffiti un-artists would follow suite. I am ditching those photos to make mine original.
That makes me sound dumb and self obsessed but its true.
The trip was awesome!
I tell you!
Read the others of course, but it was awesome.
The field trip was very tiring on my (and most of the room5ians) feet, but it was totally worth it as we learnt heaps, got some awesome footage, and had an awesome time in hamiltON!!
First we set off, sneeking through boys high to manouver down the steep hill by hamilton East. We followed the road, and went on the bridge street bridge, where I got some awesome pics of the beautiful waikato river! From there we went past the meateor, down vectoria street untill we followed the hill and looked at the funky bandstands. We went down by the river, and got to wath agent S being filmed by TV3, and then getting filmed ourselves, a bunch of kids screaming out 'FOLDEN!'. We then followed the path untill the gigantic hill up to the museum. When there we looked at the NZ war egzibit, and wer talked to by some of the museum staff! The talk was really interesting and we even got to sharesome of our ideas for a new egzibit! Then, we were off, speeding to garden place, passing such buildings as skycity, Hood street and Arts post. We scuried through HamiltON Central library, seeing the hamilton model that was at the meateor, and discovering the 3rd floor, which I have never been to. WE had a lovely linch in the sunshine at garden place, and were off, walking our way back to peachgrove. This time we went on Claedlands bridge, and had a play at parana park! Then we were off, back to peachgrove to go home, and rest our very tired feet!
Very good comment by the way Kitty Milo! And good for answering the questions!
i learnt a lot about Hamilton during the field trip. i took lots of awesome landscape photos, which will do me well in the digital story (based on the Waikato River & Hamilton lake). the best part of the trip (obviously, to me) was walking on the bridges. somehow i need to think of a way to get photos of Hamilton Lake. After the V8's, there's going to be LOADS of pollution. i might take a few photos of the pollution, which will be my back-up pictures in my digital story. our digital story is going to be a BIG HIT once we've finished!!!
P.S it was nice meeting Agent S, and i got lots of information from her.
I found the museum interesting...
OKAY SO PRETTY MUCH EVERYONE HAS COVERED THE WHOLE "EXPLAINING" THING.
i WANNA GO TO ESXCITE! (IS THAT HOW YOU SPELL IT?)
HEHE. tHANK YOU MR. wODDY FOR SUCH A FANTASTIC TRIP :-)!!!
I think that the trip all around pechgrove part of hamilton was pretty nice and I think that next time we should go to the mighty river exibition.
If you want to know about computers visit my blog (click on my name) I will be adding some more posts soon!
I think on the wintec wall there should be a painted black background. On the other side of the road would be a projector with a slide show of positive sayings.
thats a fantastic idea, Roo - can anyone give examples of inspirational sayings that could be projected publicly?
The HCC will want to hear our ideas so we can collect them here and make a document to send through to them once we have enough to send.
We should also read the strategic plan in class to help us understand how we can contribute. Most people don't even understadn who they're viting for or how council works, so you kids are doing amazing things by being involved.
But if they put a projector it would rain or some one would break if its waterproof still good ideas roo
the trip was awesome. the best part was being on T.V.
